Meals

Grace House employs two fully trained chefs who work to ensure that all our residents dietary requirements are met.
We offer breakfast, lunch and supper menus and each day residents are offered morning coffee and tea with biscuits and afternoon tea with cake.

We create meal menus which use fresh seasonal dishes, incorporating residents’ likes and dislikes, and ensure that there is a choice of dishes at each meal time. Menus are reviewed taking into consideration residents’ monthly care plan reviews, regular resident and relative meetings and during the annual quality assurance process.

We cater for specialist diets including diabetic diets and those needing to gain or lose weight. We also take into consideration cultural dietary needs.
We use the BAPEN tool, a National Nutritional screening tool and ensure that we can closely monitor residents weight, and where necessary we use the prescription food chart to enhance diets with extra calories.

Wellbeing

A local hairdresser visits Grace House on a weekly basis, as well as a chiropodist and optician. These services ensure stress-free wellbeing in the comfort and privacy of their own rooms. Each resident also has the option of a daily newspaper delivered by the local newsagent. Laundry facilities are also provided on-site and included in the cost of the residents stay.
